The Free plan limits in detail
Three projects
In a team workspace the count is per organisation rather than per person; in a personal workspace it is your own projects only.
AI rate limits
Free accounts may make 20 AI calls in any rolling 24-hour window and 5 in any rolling hour. Both must be satisfied. These are rolling windows, not calendar resets: if you used your fifth call at 14:20, the next one becomes available at 15:20 rather than on the hour.
Every AI action counts, not just full scope generation. Paid plans and active trials bypass both checks entirely.
What happens when you drop to Free
- Nothing is deleted. Every project stays in your account.
- Projects beyond the limit become read-only rather than disappearing.
- Public links you already created keep working for your clients; you cannot create new ones.
- Client documents get the default Byteflare footer back.
- Team workspaces lose shared templates, custom branding, view tracking and the rate lock until Team billing is active again.
